Step II Presentation
Collect some items from the Ss: a pen, a book, a ruler, etc. Put them on your desk. Ask the individual Ss: What did I fake from you? Can you describe it? What colour is it? What's it made of? Is it valuable? How much is it worth? Write the questions on the Bb.
Then SB Lesson 72, Part I. Ask What can you see in the box? Teach the words case and belt. Can you describe the case? (It is a blue case with a belt and a name card on it. Its size is 30 centimetres by 50 centimetres. There are clothes, shoes, some English books and a radio in it. ) Ask the Ss where they go when they have lost something. Encourage them to give the answer Lost and Found (a place where people hand in objects which they have found, and where they enquire about objects which they have lost).
Step III Oral practice
Act the part of B in the dialogue with a good student as A. Check understanding of the phrase Where did you last have it? (=Where was the last place that you had it with you?) Then let the Ss practise the dialogue in pairs.

Get two Ss to act out the dialogue in Part 1. Then discuss it with the class, using Indirect Speech. Say A told B that she/he 'd lost a case and asked if it had been found. What did B ask A ? Elicit the answer from the Ss (B asked A if she / he could describe the case to him / her, etc).
Step 6 V Writing
SB Lesson 72, Part 2. Tell the Ss today we are going to practise writing “Lost” and “Found” notices. Read the two notices aloud and ask a few questions about the two notices in random order, e.g. What was left in the reading room? Describe the jacket. Where can you find the owner of the black bag? When was the green jacket found? Point out that some notices do not contain full sentences, e.g. in the “Lost” notice. Write the following headings on the Bb.
Title:
What was lost / found?
Where?
When?
Description:
As a demonstration, ask the Ss for information about an object and write this information on the Bb. Then get them to write their own “Lost” notice and “Found” notice.
